The Britannia Intersection upgrade underwent a transformation to improve safety for road users. The $3.2 million project was funded by the State Government and is now easier to negotiate, with clear signage and pavement markings that enables people to get into the correct lane before they enter the intersection, with improved lighting also installed.
The modifications have helped decrease speeds through the intersection and provide more time and space for vehicles to move through the intersection. The project was completed on time and under budget.
