Goodwood junction upgrade home

The South Australian Government has committed $110 million to the first stage of a joint state and federal government funded $443 million project (which includes future work at Torrens Junction).  The Goodwood Junction Upgrade separates the existing freight and Belair passenger lines from the Seaford (formerly Noarlunga) line. Construction of a rail underpass near Victoria Street lowers the Seaford line below ground level, with the freight and Belair lines above.

On 10 November 2013 the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure invited the local community to celebrate completion of major works on the Goodwood Junction Upgrade, with free train rides in the brand new rail underpass.  Click here for the latest news

In the 2014 South Australian Civil Contractors Federation Earth Awards, DPTI and Thiess York Joint Venture won Category 4 Project value ($20m - $75m) Award for the Goodwood Junction Rail Grade Separation Project.
